Mc’ing and Compering Course (Week 1)
Learn how to MC from Award Winning Stand Up, Angel Comedy founder, and Chortle Nominated MC, Barry Ferns.
This course will look at the role of the MC in all its forms as well as how to MC in your own style, with writing tips and techniques, multiple ways to develop your voice and style as an MC and also repeated opportunities to practice these skills and build up improv skills and performance chops.
The course is relevant for anyone who wishes to improve their Mc-ing, or their stand up, or their confidence on stage in general.

Who this course is for:
– People who have been MC-ing a while and want to brush up on their skills and have a focal point for improving
– Seasoned or New stand ups that want to try MCing but haven’t really had the chance to play and develop that skill
– MC’s who want to Improve and also be considered for Angel Comedy MC-ing work
– Newish stand ups (going less than a year) that want to be more natural on stage
– People relatively new to performing who want to get confident on stage.
This is built as an 8 week course.
Sessions are 3-4 hours long and the space is also available for practice
There is a limited number of spaces and there are presently no plans to repeat this course again in the near future.
The course will have a maximum of 18 participants.
MC – Course Sundays (and one Saturday and one Bank Holiday) 12.30pm – 4pm at The Camden Head, Angel
