Stand Up Beginner’s Course (week 2)
This course is for people who have never done stand up comedy or new comedians looking to sharpen their act. We will look at the very basics of stand up, from learning how to write a “pull back and reveal” joke to applying for gigs on the London circuit and the course culminates in your own gig at Angel Comedy!
This is a 5 week course, running on Sundays from the 15th of January to the 12th of February. The course includes a final showcase at The Bill Murray – additional to the five class dates.
In 2022 previous alumni have won So You Think You’re Funny (with 6 getting to the semi finals), won the NATYS and been finalists in Funny Women. 3 have Beat the Gong at the Comedy Store and one won Beat the Frog at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester and a graduate was a finalist in the West End New Act of The Year. This could also be you in the year after you take the course!
